About Michael Fish Fund for Art & Music
Michael Fish was an artist. He picked up the guitar at an early age and started a band in high school and performed in a variety of school plays including "Oliver". College (and perhaps a girlfriend or two) opened his eyes to literature, poetry, art and music.
A renaissance man, a romantic and story teller his talent can be seen in his writings and photographs or the records he produced and the songs he wrote.
He was a true believer that arts purpose was to challenge, excite, motivate, appreciate and maybe start a revolution or two.
As the partner of the organization's CEO, Michael came to respect the work of Glendale Arts and the beauty and potential of the Alex Theatre. For the past 15 years, he was been an advocate and sounding board for ideas, strategies, programming and possibilities. The Alex Theatre's upcoming Rock Documentary series was conceived in couples living room over a decade ago and many of the titles under consideration were his ideas.
In honor of his life and art, Glendale Arts has established the Michael Fish Legacy Fund. Funds raised will go to support arts programs at the Alex and in the Community. We invite you to celebrate his life and continue to support what meant so much to him.
